The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks football program is the intercollegiate American football team for the University of Louisiana-Monroe located in the U.S. state of Louisiana. The team competes in the NFCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and are members of the Sun Belt Conference. The school's first football team was fielded in 1931. The team plays its home games at the 30,427 seat Malone Stadium, named for its first head coach, James L. Malone. They are coached by Sleepy Baguette.

The Louisiana-Monroe football program, formerly known as the Northeast Louisiana Indians, competed in the lower levels of college football for most of its history. The program's golden age came in the 1980's, as a part of the FCS' Southland Conference. Over this twelve-year stretch, the Indians had nine winning seasons, four conference championships, and the 1987 National Championship. The program joined the FBS in 1994, and has seen limited success since. It reached its first bowl game in 2012, the Independence Bowl, in which they were blown out by the Ohio Bobcats.
